What is the JTI

SCROLL DOWN

What is the JTI

What is the Joint Thinking Initiative?

The Joint Thinking Initiative is an independent, user led, not for profit organisation that strives to improve the care people receive through the use of co-production and partnership working.

By bringing people who are accessing services and professionals together, we think it is possible to help services reach their pinnacle, leading to people receiving the care they deserve.

We are so passionate about being on the ground, working alongside staff and the people receiving care and treatment, that we are based in the middle of a hospital.

What is Co-Production?

What is Co-Production?

What is Co-Production?

Co-production can be a subjective term and there are different levels to it. It is the same as participation or involvement with one fundamental difference, equality in the decision making process.

For example if a service was planning to make a change to something it may consult their service users or ask for their opinion on some specific elements, this may be seen as participation or involvement. Co-production on the other hand could be described as being equal partners in the co-design of any proposed change.
